You cannot learn the whole course tonight. Pick the three topics the test is most likely to cover, do one practice question on each, and read only the explanations for what you got wrong. Write a one-page sheet, test yourself once more, and stop in time to sleep. Sleep is part of the study.

One night is not enough to learn a course, and pretending otherwise costs you the sleep you need to use what you already know. The plan is to cover less, test it properly, and stop.

## Pick three topics, not ten

Use the syllabus, the review sheet, or the teacher's hints. Pick the three topics that are most likely to carry the most marks. If you genuinely do not know, ask the class chat or the teacher before you start.

## Do a question before you read

For each topic, answer one practice question with the book closed. The attempt shows you what you actually know. Reading first gives you the feeling of knowing without the test.

## Read only the explanation

When you get one wrong, read the explanation for that question, not the whole chapter. Then do a similar question. Two cycles of this are worth more than a clean reread of everything.

## The one-page sheet

Write the formulas, dates, definitions, and one example for each topic on a single page. This is the only thing you read in the morning. If it does not fit, cut it until it does.

## Stop in time to sleep

Set a hard stop. At the stop, close the book, put the sheet by the door, and go to bed. A tired brain at 2am is not learning. It is rehearsing the feeling of learning.

## Do this in Swirl

Tonight is about gaps and sleep, not coverage.

**A normal chat:** A normal chat will summarise everything. Swirl quizzes the three topics and remembers what you missed.

Prompt: Quiz me on these three topics, one question at a time. Stop when I get two wrong in a row and explain only those.

### How long should I study tonight?

Two to three hours with breaks, and a hard stop that protects at least seven hours in bed. Beyond that, the returns fall faster than the fatigue rises.

### What if I do not know what is on the test?

Ask the teacher or the class chat, and use the syllabus. If you still do not know, pick the topics that appear most often in the past papers.

### Cramming or sleep?

Sleep. Memory consolidates overnight. A shorter session and a full night beats a longer session and four hours.

### What should I do in the morning?

Read the one-page sheet once, do one easy question to warm up, eat something, and go. Do not start a new topic.
